The Faculty of Health & Social Care’s Marketing & Business Development team at the University of Salford has drafted in Northwest business psychology consultancy, Psycuity, to help develop members of their new team, improve interaction and identify future challenges.
Psycuity were tasked by Tony Ayin, Director of Business Development, to audit the members of his new team, work alongside the team on understanding their relative strengths and weaknesses and assist them in identifying achievable objectives in both the short and long term.
At the core of this project, as with all Psycuity’s work, is detailed understanding of each team member as an individual, gained using psychometric analysis. Psycuity then use the assessments of each team member to represent their capabilities and the potential strengths and risks within the team.
Director of Psycuity, Ian Hudson comments: “We give leaders of new teams a unique insight into how a group of people will work for them.”
“Once the assessments were complete, we were able to share the insights we’d gained during the training day. This means Tony’s team will be able to make practical use of the assessments we’ve made of their individual skills in order to work more effectively together.”
Tony Ayin added: “The work Psycuity carried out for us exceeded our expectations. The process was an enjoyable, well presented experience and opened our eyes to new ways of working as a team.”
“Overall, the two day event proved to be a fantastic experience and helped us to build strong team relationships. This is especially important for a relatively new team such as ours, as we work towards tackling the challenges ahead.”
